Hectorite Product Introduction
Hectorite is a synthetic layered silicate nanomaterial that is insoluble in water but can hydrate and swell in water to form a colorless and transparent colloid. When the concentration in water is 2% or even higher, a highly thixotropic colloid can be formed.
Chemically modified layered silicate nanomaterials, whose hydrates swell in water to form low-viscosity sols, can prevent the system from increasing viscosity for a longer period of time. Adding a small amount of electrolyte to it or adding the sol to a system containing resins and pigment wetting agents can also form a highly thixotropic gel. It is used to provide shear-sensitive structures in various water-based formulations.
Application fields:
Lithopsite has good thixotropy, thickening, suspension, dispersibility, conductivity and other properties, and is widely used in colorful coatings, water-based paints, water-based color pastes, daily chemical products and other fields.
